Principles of profitable farm leasing A FarmReady approved course for potential tenants looking for lease land for grazing opportunities. The aim of the workshop is to provide participants with the knowledge of what makes a land leasing successful and an understanding of how to rationally appraise a lease opportunity.

The aim of the workshop is to provide participants with the knowledge of what makes a land leasing successful and an understanding of how to rationally appraise a lease opportunity.

 

The workshop is a day long with sessions covering the following topics:

·         Introduction to leasing

·         Principles of investment in agricultural ventures

·         Determining what to pay & accounting for risk

·         Lease versus sharefarm

·         Lease versus purchase

 

The cost of the workshop for participants is $500 (GST ex) and includes:

·         Access to internet based tools

·         Course notes

·         Access to consultants expertise

·         Morning and afternoon tea and lunch

 

(Course costs are refundable to FarmReady eligible participants. If you are a primary producer you are guaranteed 100% reimbursement). One additional participant per business may attend for an extra cost of $100 (GST ex).

 

The workshops will be held in Hamilton, Ararat and Ballarat, starting at 8.45am and closing at 3pm.

 

The workshop is limited to 15 businesses so please register no later than the 5th March to secure your place.
