South Ballarat Urban Landcare Group (SBULG) is a community group interested in land, water and general environmental issues within urban and semi-urban areas of southern Ballarat. The Group works in the Yarrowee River (mid section), Canadian Creek and Buninyong Creek sub-catchments of the Leigh River Catchment.
The group's main interest areas include:
- Revegetation
- Waterway management
- Weed management
- Native vegetation and fauna
- Community capacity building
Some activities conducted by the group include:
- Tree planting
- Water quality monitoring
- Weed control
- Education and information sharing
