Wangaratta Secondary College comes to the rescue
Five students from the Wangaratta Secondary College and Wangaratta Bunnings have joined forces to build nest boxes to support the local wildlife along the urban river banks.
20 nest boxes were built and are being put up by council staff in areas where hollows for birds and mammals to use as homes.
The Wangaratta Bunnings store provided the materials and cut the boxes to size and the students spent school time building the boxes.
